Summer Meadow Embroidery Course

£175.00

Spend four gentle, creative sessions stitching your own summer meadow — a place of wild grasses, soft colour, and tiny blooms brought to life through expressive hand embroidery. This course guides you through building a layered textile landscape using simple, beginner‑friendly techniques that grow in complexity each week.

You’ll explore mark‑making with thread, playful texture building, and ways to combine stitches like French knots, bullion knots, seed stitch, and soft straight‑stitch grasses to create depth and movement. Each session focuses on a different part of the meadow: grounding textures, stems and structure, scattered wildflowers, and the final details that make the whole piece hum with life.

This workshop is designed for absolute beginners as well as stitchers who want to loosen up, experiment, and embrace a more intuitive, painterly approach to embroidery. You’ll work slowly, thoughtfully, and with plenty of encouragement — discovering how calming, expressive, and personal hand embroidery can be.

By the end of the four sessions, you’ll have a richly textured meadow scene that’s entirely your own, stitched at your pace and shaped by your imagination.

There’s is a full kit that will be provided for the course, just bring scissors.

Dates: 28th April, 12th May, 26th May & 9th June
